    Thanks for sharing but I don't understand why a push/drag method has to be used when a shielding gas is involved. Doesn't the gas always cover the welding spot regardless of which method is used?

    That is not true, I am pushing aluminum welding wire through 10 feet gun with no grafite insert and never problem

    I got mine from a buddies dad that was in storage for a while. It has a really hard time cutting even 12 gauge. Consumables are fine and I think air pressure is good. What should I check?

    Question: I am seriously thinking about purchasing this product. I would just like to know if it comes with the compressor included or if I need a separate air connection?

    • @HobartWelders

      Yes, it can fit a 10lb flux-cored wire roll. You'll need part number 195216 which is an 8" spool adapter.

    Can I leave the shield for Flux welding mandatory or I need to remove it??

    • @MegaLostOne
      @MegaLostOne Місяць тому

      You can leave it if you like but it just blocks the view, you can use part number 770487 as a protector in its place and it wont block the view like the shield will during flux core welding.

    You are blessed my friend. There is a steel supplier in my city. However they don't sell drops. You buy full sized pieces at retail or you don't buy. Only alternative is a scrap yard 3 counties to the east. Never mind there is a huge scrap yard in town. They only sell by the train car load. Bar is looking great. Love old Fords. I would scare up some old head lights. Maybe some turn signals and other lights.

    Nice vid. Tell Hobart to bring Sparky back! If you have no idea what I'm talking about, the welder dude on the back of your gloves used to be Hobart's mascot, Sparky. They replaced him with a circle a few years back. Sparky is WAY cooler than a circle. If you go way back you can find him stick welding. I think he switched to mig welding in the 60's. Anyhow give the folks in Appleton the word WE WANT SPARKY BACK!
